After purchasing embossers from Acorn for many years, I am bitterly disappointed. I recently purchased a combo embosser insert that arrived damaged. I called Acorn because their embossers have a lifetime warranty. I was informed I had to ship (paid by me) the embosser insert back to Acorn. They would then determine whether I would have to pay ($13.50) for the repair plus an additional cost ($6.95) for the return shipping. Beware if considering a purchase, Acorn does not stand behind their products!
HI Azalea, I am sorry you feel that way. Bent inserts are not covered by the warranty. Inserts can become bent when used with more than one sheet of paper at a time, using heavier paper or using the insert when it is not seated properly in the embosser. From the pictures emailed to us, it appears your insert is bent. We are happy to evaluate the embosser insert. As we mentioned on the phone and through email if the embosser insert dies have slipped their would be no charge for repair and would fully be covered by the warranty. We do include the repair cost of a bent insert on the return form but would not charge for the repair until the insert has been evaluated. - Acorn Sales
