Selecting a Stamp Ink

Acorn Rubber Stamp Ink is a water soluble ink that makes smart, clear impressions which can dry very fast, depending on the absorbency of the material being printed. Its best use is with M-Series, Maxum and Trodat stamps, Self-inking Date Stamps, and cloth covered felt pad. Meeting U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for use on food packaging, other surfaces include paper, corrugated, Kraft paper, clay coated paper and labels. The choice of colors for Acorn Rubber Stamp Ink includes Black, Blue, Green, Purple and Red.

Acorn Pre-inked Ink is formulated for use in the MaxLight and Slim Stamps. These stamps require this type of ink that will not clog or damage the pre-ink working parts. Available colors include Black, Blue, Green, Violet, Red, Burgundy, Brown, Yellow, Process Blue, Fluorescent Pink, Fluorescent Red and Fluorescent Orange.

Acorn Pre-inked Quick Dry Ink is formulated specifically for the Pre-inked Quick Dry Stamp. With an approximate drying time of 20-30 seconds, this ink is available in two colors only: Black or Red. To prevent damage to the stamp, only this ink should be used in your Pre-inked Quick Dry Stamp.

Xstamper Ink is a water soluble ink that makes smart, clear impressions which can dry very fast, depending on the absorbency of the material being printed. Its best use is for Xstamper Stamps on surfaces such as standard paper. The choice of colors for Acorn Xstamper Stamp Ink includes Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Orange, Light Blue, Light Green, Yellow, Pink and Brown.

Acorn Numbering Machine Ink is a waterproof ink made with mineral and vegetable oils that adheres to any porous surface, including paper, corrugated, cloth, etc. Designed not to clog mechanism during use, this ink has its best application for numbering and dating machines with metal dies only. It is NOT made for use with natural rubber bands as oil will swell the material. Depending on the absorbency of the surface being marked, this ink can be fast drying. It is available in these colors: Black, Blue and Red.

Acorn Frozen Food Ink is a waterproof ink with excellent adhesion to waxed paper or metal surfaces. It will imprint through layers of moisture and remain on frozen food packages. The suggested application of our Frozen Food Ink is with self-inking or rubber hand stamp having a cloth covered felt pad. With an approximate drying time of 30-45 seconds, available ink colors include Black, Blue, Green, Purple and Red.

Acorn Indelible Ink is a non-acid based ink for application to cloth, linen and clothing. It will not bleach out of fabric and no preparation or hot iron is required. Cloth can be washed immediately after marking. This ink should not be applied on top of sizing. If sizing is present, the cloth should be washed before marking. The suggested application of our Indelible Ink is with hand rubber stamp with a felt stamp pad. Available ink colors include Black, Green, Purple and Red.

Acorn Indexing Ink is an excellent all-purpose, waterproof ink that adheres to resin coated photographic paper, Mylar or chrome coated labels. It meets the U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for use on food packaging and conforms to relative government specifications. The suggested application of Indexing Ink is with use of a cloth covered felt pad. With an approximate drying time of 10-15 seconds, available ink colors include Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, White and Yellow.

Acorn Invisible Ink is waterproof and is most commonly applied to the skin for identification purposes at people gatherings. With an instant drying time, this ink remains on the skin for approximately 24 hours. Application of this ink is best with a rubber stamp with a cloth covered felt pad (beware this ink dries quickly in a pad). Available color is Blue (under UV lighting).

Acorn Opaque Ink provides excellent adhesion on treated polyethylene, meeting the U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for use on food packaging. Drying in approximately 10-15 seconds, this ink comes in the following vivid colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, White and Yellow.

Acorn Price Marking Ink is a waterproof ink designed for use in a self-inker or hand stamp with a cloth covered felt pad. Specifically formulated for price marking use in supermarkets, this ink adheres to metal, paper, cellophane and plastic. It meets the U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for use on food packaging. This ink has an approximate drying time of 45-90 seconds and stays moist in self-inkers for long periods of time. Available colors include Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Purple and Red.

Acorn Ink Thinners are formulated with the same solvent systems used in inks; only the color is eliminated. There are a variety of uses for ink thinners: mixed with inks to quicken the drying time, applied to a stamp pad to rejuvenate it, or used to clean equipment and rubber stamps.

Acorn Rubber Stamp Cleaner is used for cleaning and maintaining the type on rubber stamps when they become clogged or illegible. Unlike the Acorn Ink Thinner, the Rubber Stamp Cleaner is for cleaning ONLY; it is NOT to be used as a thinner for any ink.
