Tax Exempt Purchases

Tax-exempt purchases can sometimes seem confusing, which is why our Customer Service team is standing by to help make these steps as quick and easy as possible. Below you’ll find some of the most common questions regarding tax-exempt status and purchases. If you find that you still have questions, please contact our Customer Service team at 1-866-379-5775.

Who qualifies for tax-exempt purchases?
Within the State of Virginia schools, non-profit organizations, public charities, churches and other religious organizations generally qualify for tax-exempt purchases under federal law.

Private businesses, chambers of commerce, social and recreational clubs generally do not qualify for tax-exempt purchases. Orders outside the state of Virginia are treated as non-taxable.
What types of purchases qualify?
Any purchase typically subject to sales tax that is intended for the sole use of a qualified organization (see above) can qualify as tax exempt.
How do I make a tax-exempt purchase?
Currently, we can accept  tax-exempt purchases via Fax, Phone and online.

Call our Customer Service team at 1-866-379-5775(Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 4:45p.m. ET) to place your order. Please note that taxes will apply to your initial total.
We will request your email address or fax number to send you a Pay Verification statement. Complete the statement, then fax or mail it back to us with a copy of your tax-exempt status verification for the state in which the order will be shipped or picked up.

Please Note: If you submit your order online and do not supply the correct tax-exempt paperwork for us to keep on file - your order will be charged tax, and after processing no refunds for sales tax will be granted.
